1.Its got aboslutely Brilliant acting by all three idiots ( and masterji too )
2.Its leave you laughing and rolling uncontrollably in the aisles
3.Its not just a story , but a story with a very important liiving life right ( social ) messages thrown in for good measure for today’s generation and also the older generation
The 3 Idiots characters ( three Idiots)
The three characters that really will stay on your mind for a very long log time is the character Rancho ( Amir khan ) Rannchhod Chachar, Chatur Ramalingham (Omi) and professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani) also called virus for short in the movie by his unhappy engineering students.
The acting by Amir khan as is flawless. The 44-year-old actor almost passes off as a 22-year-old collegian, bringing out in his character the the freshness and brashness of the college teen and vivacity few actors of his age can. Aamir’s courage in dealing with sensitive issues like student suicides, Indian education system, youth power, crossing new bridges are positive moments of the Movie.
Omi as chatur Ramalingham plays the part so well of the nerd or irritating geek that gets on you nerves all the times that you actually want to get up from your seat ands give him a good thrashing and bullying. His Balatkar scene and his typical Hindi accent were all the more good moments of the movie
Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani) plays the part of the engineering college professor so well that you really feel that he is the most annoying strict know it all teacher that you would surely seen at some time on one of your teachers at school. He has done a brilliant portrayal of an eccentric professor.
The other supporting actors that have done well also are Farhan (Madhavan) who wants to be a wild life photographer AND Raju (Sharman Joshi), a poor lad who’s so afraid of failure that his fear has come in the way of him becoming successful.
Chatur’s convocation speech in which the word ‘Chamatkar’ is replaced by ‘Balatkar’ is a a really funny gag and i could not help myself from falling in the aisles rolling with laughter but i gotta admit theh butt baring and dropping of pants was a bit overdone.
Shantanu Moitra’s music and Muralidharan’s cinematography complement the flick well. Rajkumar Hirani spins a yarn that absolutely delights with intelligent dialogue and funny comeback responses. For this alone, ‘3 Idiots’ definitely ought to be seen again and again and enjoyed.
Kareena shines as well, as the spunky medical student in her relatively smaller role
The 3 Idiots story
3 idiots will be softly based on Chetan Bhagat’s debut bestseller Five Point Someone which narrates the story of an average IIT guy who just about manages to rise above the very mediocre levels.
Two friends [Madhavan and Sharman Joshi] embark on a quest for a lost buddy. The movie proceeds through narrations that take you into the flashback when Rancho, Farhan and Raju arrive at a premier engineering institute to begin their course. On this journey, they encounter a long forgotten bet, a wedding they must crash, and a funeral that goes impossibly out of control.
As they make their way through the perilous landscape, another journey begins: their inner journey through memory lane and the story of their friend–the irrepressible free-thinker Rancho [Aamir Khan], who in his unique way, touched and changed their lives. The so called “villain” of the flick whose ways are against that of Rancho is the Dean of the college Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani). In addition, to make matters worse Rancho happens to find love in his daughter Pia (Kareena Kapoor). It’s a story of their hostel days that swings between Rancho’s romance with the spirited Pia [Kareena Kapoor], and his clash with an oppressive mentor, Viru Sahastrabudhhe [Boman Irani]. The movie has some really hilarious moments with wedding reception mayhem of Viru’s oldest daughter played by Mona Singh, Raju’s father being reached to the hospital in a very funny way on a two-wheeler and so on.

And then one day, suddenly, Rancho vanished… Who was he? Where did he come from? Why did he leave? The friend who influenced and inspired them to think creatively and independently, even as the conformist world called them three idiots. Where is the original idiot now? Finally, in misty mountains of unparalleled beauty, the friends find the key to the secret. Three Idiots is a comedy of ideas that is as provocative as it is funny, as wildly entertaining as it is insightful. A laugh-riot that talks about the most important of human pursuits: self-actualization.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘ 3 Idiots ‘ surpassed every other money-making Indian film in countries like the US, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Fiji and Kenya. The credit also goes to Abhijat Joshi, Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for writing such brilliant screenplay, script and dialogues.
