Synopsis : What happens when you throw two guys who hate each other together…

One of the most awaited films of 2008 is Tashan. Starring Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, this movie marks the comeback of Anil and Akshay to the Yash Raj banner.

It is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who also wrote the screenplay and dialogues for mega hits like Dhoom and Dhoom 2. The movie is produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is planned for a release “Tashan” on April 25, 2008.

A supposedly cool call center executive Jimmy Cliff (Saif Ali Khan), a desi wannabe gangster Bachchan Pande (Akshay Kumar) add for good measure a beautiful girl Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) who can’t be trusted… on a journey across spectacular India… a journey which will alter the course of their lives in more ways than one… a journey where even enemies need to trust each other if they want to be alive…

Trouble is, in this world no one can be trusted ever ever ever!

And to top it all there is the evil eye of Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor)… a maverick gangster who enjoys killing people as much as he enjoys speaking English… That pretty much sums up tashan

Songs in Tashan excite, get on to you quickly and make you put them on a repeat mode. There is not a single dull moment in this entire album which has its tallest highpoints in ‘Dil Dance Maare‘, ‘Dil Haara‘ and ‘Falak Tak‘. YRF, Vishal and Shekhar can uncork a champagne bottle since Tashan is all set to record music sales which would be at par with the combined music sales of all of Yash Raj Films projects in 2007 (Ta Ra Rum Pum, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Chak De India, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle).

Tashan is truly the biggest and most awaited project of the season. And the reasons are plenty.

This is the first YRF project in 2008 and comes straight after double-bill disappointments in the form of Aaja Nachle and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag
Vishal and Shekhar have a music release more than six months after 2007′s biggest success (both film-wise as well as musically) – Om Shanti Om

The film stars four top-line actors who have been having a great box office run – Akshay Kumar (5 successful films in a row), Saif Ali Khan (Race), Anil Kapoor (Race, Welcome) and Kareena Kapoor (Jab We Met)
Last but definitely not the least – absolutely nothing is known about the film’s plot. No wonder, curiosity is simply killing!
