Salman Khan starrer blockbuster hit “Dabangg” can now be viewed on popular video sharing site YouTube for free.
“Dabangg” is the first Indian blockbuster film till date to have been released on YouTube. Along with the film, internet users can also enjoy songs, popular scenes, other footage and short clips from the film.
This free viewing has been released today and will be available to netizens in India but IP blocked in remaining countries. The full movie will be showcased on youtube.com/dabanggthefilm starting January 27, and will be available for free viewing to audiences in India. Users will also be able to enjoy short clips from the movie like popular scenes, songs and other exciting footage from the making of the movie.
Gautam Anand, director of Content Partnerships (Japan-Asia Pacific) at Google stated “This initiative marks a major shift in the way movies have been traditionally distributed and opens up a new business opportunity for movie producers and distributors alike.” The film directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan, hit theatres last September. The exclusive sponsor of “Dabangg on YouTube” India is Hindustan Lever.
